So there are nice little divisions to life.
And it tends to divide into places ... The bit that is where I work, the bit that is my house, friend's houses, places I eat food, trees I climb, etc ...
Sometimes people from these places are allowed to overlap. Like Chuck buying comics at my store. This is fine, as it makes perfect sense that he would do such a thing.
However there are occasions when bits are distinctly not allowed to overlap. Like some regular customer from work being in my favorite tree when I decide to climb it ... it's just not an allowable thing.
There's a point to this ... Mostly that it is not okay for certain fishnetted dancers to casually wander into my bookstore and pretend like they're supposed to be there. It took a lot of willpower to not go hide in back with the overstock.
